Know all about MBBS in Russia and why it is best

In India, doctors are considered equal to God who can save lives and that’s the reason why the profession of a doctor is among one of the most prestigious jobs in India. In India, many students want to become a doctor or pursue a career in MBBS.

Research has shown that every year many students facing difficulties in getting seats in government colleges, now it is becoming very tough to get admission in Indian medical colleges because the number of students is more than the number of seats in Indian colleges. In NEET 2020, around 16 lakh students register for the exam, and out of this 13 lakh candidates appeared in the exam, and approx. 7.7 lakh candidates qualified for the NEET exam but the number of seats in Indian colleges is 1,18,316 (MBBS & BDS). Out of this seat 80 thousand MBBS seats which include only 41 thousand Government Medical seats. The minimum qualification required for taking admission in Russian Universities are: - 

• Students need to qualify for the NEET-UG exam for admission in Russia.

• Students should have passed 10+2 with PCB and mandatory to score at least 50% marks.

• Student age should be 17 years to 25 years at the time of admission• English subject is mandatory in the 10+2 class.

Study MBBS from it is not very costly. The fees of Russian universities are very low as compare to Indian private colleges. The total MBBS course cost nearly 17 to 25 lakh. Which include university fees, hostel fees, travel expenses, food, and other misalliances expenses. 

The Medium of Education in Russian universities


In Russia, there are three types of Medical Universities based on the medium of teaching- 

1.        Russian Language

2.        Bilingual method.

3.        English Medium

The first one that teaches in the Russian language. Students who are studying MBBS courses in such universities are taught in the Russian language for the complete course. Here International students can’t get direct admission in this MBBS Course. They need to get a Russian language diploma in the medical field to study MBBS in Russia. The second one is that teaches in the Bilingual method. The word itself suggests that study in two different languages. The duration of the MBBS course in Russia is of 6 years. The First 3 Years of universities taught in the English language and the remaining 3 years are in the Russian language. The last one, universities that teach in English Medium. The complete 6-year of MBBS course in such universities are taught in English medium.
